I loved The Age of Innocence — the book and the movie (remember when Daniel Day Lewis was hot?) So I was extremely excited to hear about the new novel The Innocents by Francesca Segal, a modern day re-telling set in a Jewish community outside of London. I started it this week, and my favorite part so far is the new incarnation of damaged (but irresistible) goods cousin Ellen Olenska, now aka Ellie Schneider. I’m hooked!
